Am 22. Juli 2019 trat die Richtlinie 2015/863/EU (RoHS 3) in Kraft, bei welcher 10 statt bisher 6 gefährliche Stoffe mit Beschränkung hinsichtlich ihrer Verwendung aufgelistet sind.

Hintergrund zu RoHS:
Die Richtlinie 2011/65/EU (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates vom 8. Juni 2011 zur Beschränkung der Verwendung bestimmter gefährlicher Stoffe in Elektro- und Elektronikgeräten. Mit RoHS-Richtlinie 2015/863 vom 04. Juni 2015 wurde die Aufnahme von vier weiteren Stoffen verabschiedet, so dass jetzt insgesamt 10 Stoffe reguliert sind. Ausnahmen wurden mit Richtlinie (EU) 2017/2102 des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates vom 15. November 2017 neu geregelt. Background to RoHS:
Directive 2011/65/EU (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) of the European Parliament and the Council of 8 June 2011 to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. With RoHS Directive 2015/863 of 4 June 2015, the inclusion of four additional substances was adopted, so that a total of 10 substances are now regulated. Exceptions were re-regulated by Directive (EU) 2017/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council of 15 November 2017.
